Abstract
Erectile dysfunction occurs among men of all age groups in different countries of the world with the rate from 5 to 80%, achieving on average of 33%. One of the leading places among treatment approaches in organic erectile dysfunction, refractory to conservative therapy, is taken by implantation of phalloprosthesis. The most serious complication of phalloprosthesis is an infection of prosthesis, which in most number of cases is a reason of infected prosthesis removing and replacement with another. In the current article the database of 94 patients, for whom in clinic «Andros» and in other hospitals of St. Petersburg from December 1998 till April 2007 the operations of hydraulic and semirigid phalloprosthesis implantation were made, was analyzed.
