Аннотация
Внебольничный бактериальный менингит является одним из наиболее тяжёлых инфекционных поражений центральной нервной системы, способных быстро привести к летальному исходу даже ранее здоровых пациентов при неадекватной тактике ведения. В статье приведён обзор современных принципов диагностики, терапии и профилактики внебольничного бактериального менингита, основанных на последних практических рекомендациях Европейского общества по клинической микробиологии и инфекционным болезням и специализированных научных обществ Великобритании, а также личном опыте авторов.
