Аннотация
Одним из основных и наиболее авторитетных источников информации для врачей по вопросам диагностики и лечения являются клинические рекомендации, подготовленные ведущими медицинскими специалистами на основе современных доказательных данных. Однако такие руководства быстро устаревают, поэтому они должны пересматриваться не реже одного раза в 3 года. Это в полной мере относится и к рекомендациям по лечению внебольничной пневмонии (ВП) Американского торакального общества (АТО), которые впервые были опубликованы в 1993 г. За прошедшие 8 лет произошли существенно изменились в представления об этом заболевании и его терапии.
