Abstract
Survey of up-to-date knowledge of rickettsioses, their geographical distribution, importance for the infectious pathology, characteristics of rickettsia, their taxonomy and nomenclature according polyphasic strategy and classification, as well as diagnosis and treatment of Rickettsial diseases is presented.
