Infections in ICUs in Russia: the results of a nationwide study RIORITa-II

Objective. To assess prevalence, etiology, antimicrobial prescribing practices and treatment outcomes of infections in intensive care units in Russia. Materials and Methods. A two-stage (the first stage – October 18, 2022, the second stage – November 18, 2022) multicenter prospective one-day observational study involved 111 intensive care units (ICUs) of 67 centers from 25 cities of the Russian Federation. Each patient was included in the study only once. Data from the medical records of all patients in the ICU on the day of the study were entered by the attending physician into a single electronic individual case report form.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of the safety of anti-interleukin therapy in COVID-19

Objective. To evaluate safety of anti-interleukin drugs used as a pathogenetic therapy of COVID-19 as assessed by risks of infectious complications. Materials and Methods. A systematic review of publications related to safety assessment of anti-interleukin drugs recommended as pathogenetic therapy in COVID-19 patients in terms of incidence of serious adverse events and adverse events of “Infections and Invasions” class and a meta-analysis of the data were performed. Results. The meta-analysis included 16 randomized and 3 non-randomized studies.
